Nashville is known for country music, and country music is not traditionally known for being especially gay-friendly. But with the recent coming-out of several high-profile gay and lesbian country artists, it's time for Nashville in Harmony to raise their voices to celebrate this exciting progress and to encourage these brave artists. The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee's "Big Payback" event, held on May 6, 2014, was a resounding success and Nashville in Harmony (NiH) was honored to participate.
