Nashville in Harmony continues to support the Edgehill United Methodist Church as they work to purchase the former W.O. Smith School buildings, also known as “the red houses,” at 1414 & 1416 Edgehill Avenue. These spaces will be used for programs to support and empower their neighbors in the Edgehill area, where poverty is persistent and real. NiH's last event in December 2009, raised $12,000..

Edgehill UMC has a long history of working with its neighbors with an after-school tutoring and summer programs for Edgehill children, as well as working with Room in the Inn and the neighborhood garden. It has been the incubator of many important non-profit organizations, including MANNA, the TN Hunger Coalition, Luke 14:12 (soup kitchen), Second Harvest Food Bank, and the W.O. Smith School of Music.

Other details are currently being worked out.

Saturday

Brentwood, TN
7:00 am

Nashville in Harmony starts Flash Mob Saturday with singing the national anthem for the opening ceremonies of Greater Nashville Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  Sign up to race or walk or donate, or just come out and support this incredible cause and charity.

From there, we're off and I mean off.  If you're out and about in Nashville, keep your eyes and ears open for an "inconspicuous" group of random characters whom all of a sudden break out in song.  Go ahead...snap your fingers to the beat (uh, off beat) and have fun as you witness NiH's very first Flash Mob Saturday.

Check out the Star-Spangled Banner performance and the audience response posted on
YouTube.  We are grateful for this opportunity and recognition.  Also, catch the video collage of our Flash Mob performances throughout Nashville.
